PhilanthroFest celebrates and showcases 200 non-profit agencies at the PhilanthroFest 2013 festival on April 6, 2013 at the Miami Dade College Wolfson Campus.
The non-profit participant application is now available. Applications will be accepted until March 15, 2013. Selected non-profits will be notified the week of March 18, 2013.
PhilanthroFest’s goal includes providing educational resources to non-profits in the areas of social media and on-line engagement, digital marketing and web development. PhilanthroFest creates collaborations between public/private partners and industry experts to create the PhilanthroFest Non-Profit Community Engagement Institutes, educational workshops and hands-on learning opportunities that help strengthen non-profits’ communications strategy, donor loyalty and volunteer engagement.
PhilanthroFest helps non-profits excel while connecting the community to their cause.
PhilanthroFest held their first Community Engagement Institute on February 8, 2013 at the Miami Science Musuem where 150 non-profit executives enjoyed a free half-day seminar with workshops on topics such as “Igniting Your Non-Profit’s Social Media Efforts,” “Constituent Engagement,” “Asset Based Community Development for Community Engagement,” “Strategies for Community Engagement,” “Engaging Funders: Improve fundraising results by effectively telling your story,” and “Engaging Young Professionals.”
